Latest Majors Game Recaps

With the weather forecast that wasn’t very promising all weekend, the prospect of getting any baseball in this weekend was questionable. Although Friday Night Lights was rained out, volunteers sprung to action to get Yeonas ready for the late afternoon and night games, while the early games were able to shift to turf. This weekend saw IJ M. and Case M. catch Ryne A. as they both hit their second bombs of the season. The Phillies Carter T. and Cardinals Sean Y. joined the Dinger Board by launching baseballs well over the fence.  Recaps below:

Phillies over Dodgers 5-3

With hitting at a premium, Charlie C. had the big hit of the night for the Phillies with a line shot between third and short to drive in a run.  Max S. pitched a gem, going 5.2 innings and allowing no earned runs, while striking out 6.  Wesley D. had a big hit for the Dodgers, who received a great pitching performance from Miles N. who allowed no earned runs over 2.2 innings.

Braves over White Sox 10-9

Blue Jays over Red Sox 6-2

Bradley S. pitched a complete game, scattering 4 hits and striking out 3. The Blue Jays defense was awesome Sunday giving the Red Sox no favors and eliminated errors from the box score. Caden P., Andrew R. and Aiden all had doubles for the Jays, while Bradley helped his cause with a triple. Adrian O. was the bright spot for the Sox on offense, collecting 2 hits including a double.
