Get Ready for Tryouts

VLL will hold its tryouts for Majors/3A/2A registrants on Saturday, February 4 and Sunday, February 12 at HammerZone Sports (Fairfax Circle Shopping Center, 9709 Fairfax Blvd, Fairfax, VA 22030).

All players League Age 10 and above must attend an evaluation to enable our coaches to draft them to the appropriate level. Players who are League Age 8 and 9 who are seeking placement in 2A or 3A also must attend a tryout to be draft-eligible; placement at requested draft levels is not guaranteed for 8- and 9-year-olds. (Players who wish to play 1A or below should not participate in the evaluations, and no players League Age 7 or younger should attend the evaluations.)

**Players already drafted to a Majors team from a previous season do not need to participate in player evaluations**

Sign up for one of the following sessions (age refers to the player's age as of 8/31/2023):

Ages 10-12: Saturday, February 4, 1:30-7:30 pm (sign up HERE)
Ages 8-9: Sunday, February 12, 1:30-6:30 pm (sign up HERE)

If you have a conflict with the day assigned to your player's age group, there are make-up slots available on the alternate weekend.

Volunteers Needed: We need adult and youth volunteers to help run tryouts. You can sign up for volunteer time slots on February 4 or February 12. Please take note of the type of signup required, youth or adult (adult slots cannot be filled by youth volunteers). All youth signups should be filled by returning Majors players or older (VLL alumni, Babe Ruth, high school players). Youth volunteers can record their time as service hours.
