AL 11's to Play in Championship Game in TOSC
The AL 11's All Stars continue their march in the Tournament of State Champions. The #1 seeded Big Red Machine advance to the championship game on Tuesday at 11am v. North Carolina after defeating Georgia in the semis 13-6.
Today's offense was led by Case M who went 3 for 4 with 3 doubles and driving in 8 runs. Case bookended his performance by coming in to close the game on the bump in the bottom of the 6th. Jack K started the game for the Big Red Machine and went 5 1/3 innings on 87 pitches, striking out 5. Jack's strike percentage today was an impressive 71%. Both Carson P and Charlie J had multiple hits going 2 for 4 and 2 for 3, respectively. The team's OBP was .531 for the game.
The championship game will feature a rematch of the first pool play game when the Big Red Machine beat North Carolina 11-1. That game saw a committee of pitchers (Pax L, Case, Adam K and Sean Y) give up only 1 run on 6 hits and striking out 6. In the 4 games in the TOSC, the AL 11's have outscored their opponents 49-12.
