AL 11 All Stars Win and Have Perfect Pool Play Record in TOSC

The AL 11's All Stars completed pool play with a perfect 3-0 record and have secured the #1 seed in bracket play. The Big Red Machine will play in the Tournament of State Champions semifinals on Tuesday, August 2nd at 12:45pm.

In today's game, the team was led by the pitching performance of Bradley S who went 4 2/3 innings giving up 2 runs on 3 hits. Bradley's outing gives Coach Leggett a nearly full arsenal of pitchers for the next two days. Bradley also went 1 for 3 at the plate with an RBI. Case M went 2 for 3 with a double and 4 RBIs. Adding to the offensive performance were Sean Y, Adam K and Pax L who went a combined 5 for 12, scoring 6 runs and driving in 4.

The team went in to the top of the 4th down 2-1 and Pops got a 6-run rally started by wearing a pitch and reaching first. Bradley then drew a walk and Brady K, Sean and Adam K followed with base hits and then Pax and Case hit back-to-back doubles putting the team ahead 7-2 midway through the fourth.

In three pool play games, the Big Red Machine has outscored their opponents by a score of 36-6. The AL 11's will play the #4 seed at 12:45pm on Tuesday in the semifinals.
