Join us for Opening Day on Saturday, April 11 at George C. Yeonas Park (1319 Ross Drive SW) starting at 9:00 am! This annual event officially kicks off our spring season, and it's our only all-league gathering of the year. All managers, coaches, players, families, sponsors, alumni, and community members are invited.

Here’s what you need to know to make the day fun for everyone:

• Arrive Early: The parking lot will be closed to all attendees except handicapped guests and ceremony invitees. Park along nearby streets (Ross Dr., Patrick St., and George St.) or in the public lot at Southside Park. Please be considerate of our neighbors.

• Dress Code: Players should come dressed in their league-issued jersey and hat. Teams should assemble on Rhodes Field (behind the snack bar) at 8:30 am. Volunteers will be there to direct players.

• Parade and Ceremony: Starting at 9:00 am sharp, all players will parade from Rhodes Field to Nance Field and be announced by VLL President Greg Skelton. Players will stay with their team on the field for the ceremony, celebrating the history and future of our league. Only coaches and players are allowed on Nance Field during the ceremony.

• Snack Bar and Merchandise: The VLL Snack Bar will be open, serving coffee and breakfast items. Check out our new VLL merchandise for sale this season, including our limited edition 75th Season Swag Bag. See below for more information!

• Weather Updates: In case of inclement weather, visit VLL.org for the latest updates on the status of Opening Day. The safety of our coaches, players, and families is our top priority.

• 75th Season Swag Bag: Get ‘em while you can! In honor of our 75th Season we are selling a limited edition swag bag that includes a 75th Season tote bag (red or blue), VLL Yeti, VLL Blanket, an I LOVE VLL pin, and a 75th Season sticker. Each bag is $100 (with $25 going back to the League). We have a limited number of swag bags in stock, but are prepared to order more. We are doing pre-sales for 35 red and 35 blue ahead of Opening Day. Spring Photo Day on April 18

We’re excited to announce that spring photo day will be on Saturday, April 18, at Nance Field (Yeonas Park). Coaches will be signing up for a specific time slot, so look for an update from your coach on the time slot for your team.

Reminders for Photo Day:

• Arrive 10 minutes before your time slot. 

• Line up at the gate to Nance Field at Yeonas Park

• Players should wear clean pants, cleats, hats, and shirts (tucked in)

• Bring one bat per team with non-reflective lettering (no neon lettering)

• No parents are allowed on the field during photo sessions

• This year will be completely paperless, parents will receive opt-in email

• Parents will receive a QR code that will be scanned at check in.

• Links to view and order photos will be emailed after photo day.

Spring Break with Georgetown Baseball April 2-4 Capital One Park

Georgetown Baseball is excited to invite Vienna Little League players to the BIG EAST Home Opener series as the Hoyas take on Xavier, April 2–4 at Capital One Park in Tysons, VA!

One of the highlights of the weekend will be Kids Day, and we would love for your athletes, families, and teams to join us for a fun-filled day at the ballpark.

The day will begin with a special pregame Team Meet & Greet at:

• 10:15 AM on April 2nd before the 11 am game

• 2:15PM on April 3rd before the 3 pm game

• 12:15pm on April 4th before the 1 pm game

Kids will have the chance to meet our Georgetown players, collect autographs, take photos, and receive team posters and other giveaways.

Once the game begins, the excitement continues with interactive in-game entertainment designed just for kids, including:

? Anthem Buddies (kids standing with players during the National Anthem)
🎤 Baseball trivia games
💃 Dance-offs between innings
👕 T-shirt tosses and giveaways
🎉 And plenty of other fun surprises throughout the game!

This is a great opportunity for young athletes to experience Division I BIG EAST baseball up close, build team camaraderie, and enjoy a memorable day with teammates and family.
