2008 Vienna Little League Challenger Program
for Children with Disabilities

  • Participate for free: Since 1989, the Vienna Little League (VLL) has offered the Challenger Program for children with disabilities to play baseball in a supportive environment at no cost to the family.

  • Sunday afternoon games: Vienna’s two Challenger teams, the Padres and the Angels, composed of players of varying abilities, beginning at age 5, play each other and visiting teams on Sundays during the season.

  • No experience necessary: Players will participate in the game to complement their particular needs and interests. Basic adaptations are implemented where need be. Parents can watch from the stands or participate on the field.

  • Tournament at the beach: For a small charge, there is also the opportunity to participate in the Worldwide Challenger Baseball Jamboree in Virginia Beach, May 9-11.
  • Opening day: The first game of the 2008 season immediately follows the VLL opening day ceremonies at Yeonas Park on April 12th. All subsequent games will be played on Sundays at 1:30 PM
