Bill Cervenak: 1939 -- 2020

Vienna lost a treasure this week. Long-time Chairman Bill Cervenak did much more than grow Vienna Little League into the hometown organization thousands of us have known and loved. He tirelessly gave of himself to our community year-round for three decades, acting as basketball commissioner and football coach when he was not a fixture at Yeonas Park.  He also served our country as a decorated Marine and CIA agent.  Coach Cervenak leaves behind a legacy that includes his generosity of spirit, his commitment to service, and his mentorship to generations of children.  Rest in Peace, dear Bill.

Memorial Service: In-person attendance for Bill's service will be limited to ten members of his immediate family; however, the funeral home is providing a live webcast of a short prayer service. The live online service is at 11:15am ET on Tuesday 5/19/2020, and will be accessed from the bottom of Bill's obituary at: https://www.lehrergibilisco.com/obituary/william-m-cervenak (webcast link will only show on that page, next to the recorded tribute video, during the live service)   In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to organizations close to Bill's heart, like the Wounded Warrior Project or our own Vienna Little League.
